About Us- Mission and Values
Creating a Culture

Mission & Vision
First, we are so glad you are here!

Life by Design Psychology is working hard to build a collaborative healthcare collective with a focus on sustainable healing and promoting healthy lifestyles for clients, practitioners, and the Fort Saskatchewan community.

At our core, we believe that wellness is not a product, but a process rooted in relationship, respect, and co-creation.
We are working hard to create a home for mental wellness and health practitioners who want to do meaningful work, while focusing on support, mentoring, and relationship. We offer a practice that cares about YOU the practitioner so that you can serve our clients and community with the best care possible.

We have designed a space for clients who are seeking not just care, but a sense of connection, growth, and belonging. We want to help you design a life you love, and are here to support even when the path is not linear or easy. We believe with the right conditions you are destined to thrive, and we hope we can be part of your perfect recipe for growth.

Together, we’re building a values-driven practice where people are supported to heal, thrive, and contribute. Where clients, therapists, and community can be in deep meaningful alignment with who they really are.
Values
1. Collaboration Over Competition
We believe healing happens in relationship. Relationship with ourselves, one another, and the systems we are part of. We build together, share resources, and celebrate each other's gifts. We take care of one another.

2. Autonomy with Belonging
We honour the independence of each practitioner and the individuality of each client. Everyone here is invited to show up fully, contribute freely, and grow authentically. All with the support of a nourishing community.

3. Wellness that’s Sustainable
For us, wellness means more than short-term fixes. It means care that is rooted, accessible, and enduring. We aim to build rhythms, systems, and communities that support long-term health and avoid burnout.

4. Access and Inclusion
We are actively committed to being a safer, braver space for all identities and lived experiences. We integrate trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally aware care in everything we do. All of you is welcome here!

5. Embodiment and Integrity
We walk our talk. We live our values through our programming, our relationships, and our daily practices. We know that authenticity is a healing force.

6. Community Is the Medicine
We believe healing is not meant to happen alone. Therefore, we are creating spaces to gather, reflect, learn, and be transformed together (clients and practitioners alike).
